ITALY - Organiser Exmedia has appointed professional conference organiser (PCO) Adria Congrex to handle the national and international inbound travel and ground services for its 26-year-old meetings and events trade exhibition, BTC 2010. The event takes place at Fiera Rimini, 1-2 July 2010.
Adria Congrex is Rimini-based will also manage the exhibition support staff and coordinate the whole chain of suppliers involved in the event.
BTC exhibition manager, Gabriella Ghigi, says: “The Rimini agency it is well rooted in the region, and has well-established relationships with local suppliers.”
In March, CMW reported the organiser had moved the confex, the only Italian trade show for the meetings industry, to the Rimini Expo Centre. It had been due to be held in the group’s new convention centre, Palacongressi, before the opening was delayed to 14 September 2010.
GM of Adria Congrex, Daniele Biondi says: “We want to show Italian and international buyers what the region has to offer beyond the image of Rimini as a seaside resort that everyone knows.”
Hotel accommodation will be managed by AIA Palas, a consortium created in 2009 within the Association of Rimini Hoteliers.
