SOUTH AFRICA - The Thebe Exhibitions and Projects Group (TEPG), owner of Decorex, Gardenex and the World Holiday and Travel Fair, has added the International Fashion Sale exhibition to its portfolio.
The exhibition, which has taken place twice a year for the past 14 years, is pitched as a ‘lifestyle shopping experience’ featuring well-known high street brands.
MD of TEPG, Carol Weaving, says the purchase of IFS is a significant addition to the group’s portfolio of consumer and trade exhibitions, describing its as a “Johannesburg tradition”. The 2009 event attracted just under 20,000 visitors.
Weaving says as managers of the Coca-Cola dome, which has housed the event since 2008, the purchase of the expo is a perfect fit for the group. “We look forward to bringing consumers an exhibition that is exciting and offers value for money.”
The 2010 event takes place on 25-28 February.
The group also manages Meetings Africa, the annual business tourism exhibition, on behalf of South African Tourism.
