UAE - The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) and Hyatt International Corporation have appointed hotelier Ashwini Kumar as the GM of the soon to be opened five-star Hyatt at Capital Centre, linked to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Kumar was previously manager of the Grand Hyatt Dubai, a position he held since 2004.
The 189-room Hyatt at Capital Centre is located on floors 18-35 of the 160-metre high Capital Gate complex, and was the first Hyatt hotel in the UAE capital.
ADNEC Group CEO, Simon Horgan, says: "Hyatt at Capital Centre is poised to become a hotel of choice for the affluent business traveller visiting Abu Dhabi. We therefore needed a general manager who understands what it takes to operate a landmark hotel in such an iconic building."
Opening in the last quarter of 2010, the hotel will focus its efforts on targeting business travellers, delegates, exhibitors and visitors to events.
