WindEnergy Hamburg, the world’s leading wind industry expo, opens its doors from 25-28 September at Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH in Germany.
In preparation for the fair, a huge exhibit is being erected on the plaza in front of the main building, featuring a climbing crane being installed on a wind turbine tower 55 metres tall.
The exhibit will weigh a combined 138.5 tonnes, and gives an impressive demonstration of cost-efficient technology. The climbing crane is easier to transport and requires less space than conventional crane solutions.
It was developed by Lagerwey, who is a partner of Enercon and an exhibitor at WindEnergy.
WindEnergy Hamburg will see more than 1,400 companies from 40 different nations presenting their innovative products and projects. Both onshore and offshore wind will be featured.
There will also be the WindEurope conference, forming part of the Global Wind Summit.
